Amanis — a bright red mushroom with a translucent stem and a cap mottled like cooling lava. Its temperature is unusually high — it cannot be touched without gloves. Amanis grows along the edges of old forests, feeding on minerals left behind by fire. When lightning strikes, its cap glows for several nights, pulsing faintly like a heartbeat beneath the ash.
