Nougat

Nougat — a dense, layered mushroom with a striped cap that looks carved from polished stone. Shades of cream, brown, and black shift subtly in its surface, as if time itself had settled there in rings. The stem is heavy and cool to the touch, almost metallic. Nougat grows deep underground, where roots twist and the air smells of resin.
